Commissioned by WRG as the entertainment producers for their stunning Arabian Night event in December 2011, Lavish Design were briefed to create an entertainment program that highlighted the rich culture of the Arab World to compliment the atmospheric, authentic Pan Arabic evening event that WRG were to host within the walls of Katara cultural village in Doha.
WRG's concept was to deliver a unique music & arts style festival event, which allowed the guests to explore and wander through the streets of Katara at their own pace, enjoying a the very best in Arabic entertainment throughout the night.
During the event guests were captivated & enthralled by a variety of traditional forms of Arabic performance on display across 9 stages & a variety of streets. World famous artists such as El Maalem Mahmoud Guinia & Daby Toure, the Al-lulah troupe featuring Namani, and Yaarob Joubeil, treated guests to a host of performances.

Lavish also commissioned some bespoke costume pieces created by costumier Wendy Olver. These stunning pieces incorporated calligraphy by well-known Arabic artist/poet/writer Moustafa Hassan.

As a part of the Arabian Night event, our bespoke entertainment program incorporated; x13 different World class Arabic groups, a total of x121 artists from x14 different countries and probably the Worlds first authentic contemporary Arabic Carnival!
